Sunday Memes #3, Funnies and Not So Funnies
+ Hollywood Solipsism versus The Real Texas.............
Stacker, Nanc, who is also a big cat lover, wanted me to show off my newest acquisition, Boris. Boris arrived as a ball of fuzz in the bottom of a 12 pack Coca Cola box a couple of months ago after being found cast out on the side of a highway here by a friend. He is one of the rare, Water Cats. A very small percentage of cats become obsessed with all things WATER from an early age. This is our Boris, here in the dish drainer, waiting for me to start the dishes! I have only had one other cat like this in my life. He is now venturing into the shower if I let him.
As an update to yesterday’s post about Substack blocking another Stackers account, and basically hijacking my account to do it, against my will, Substack took my advice and undid their Googlesque Fuckery last night. They left the calling card of removing the Youtube logo from the thumbnail for that post when they did this. Nice to know they care!!!! Clarence Wilhelm Spangle’s account is now fully viewable for me. Let me know how you fare…….. (Jeanetteically Modified tells us, as of this morning, she is still blocked from viewing Spangle’s account.) This ain’t over……….
I have decided to give the Kabbalah Witches a rest this week and instead, do a slide show showcasing the real Texas as opposed to the version Hollywood and the PTB’s want you to believe in. It was comments from 2 other Stackers, under my Uvalde post, that made me realize how distorted people’s perception is regarding Texas. It is not what most of you think it is. That’s ahead…..
The real map of Africa………
This is now the Marine Corps…………….
Last week, in the comments section of my Uvalde piece, two Subs expressed surprise that there was a part of Texas that didn’t look like this:
I told Eric from PA that I would put up a real picture of the Texas Hill Country since he was aware it existed but was surprised there were hills around Uvalde, which sits at the southwest edge of it. I have decided to do better than that because I realized this was a teaching moment about how THEY shape perceived reality through Hollywood and the Media to be whatever they want it to be. This is the Solipsism I have written about before. Reality is whatever THEY say it is. Or is it……..
If the Texas Hill Country could be said to have a beating heart, this is it. This is FM 337 between Wimberley and San Marcos Texas. The hills on the right are known as Three Sisters. This is about 30 miles SW of Austin and has become some of the priciest rural land in America. You can see why. All of this is a far cry from what most people believe about Texas because THEY don’t want you to know this is a wonderful, beautiful place. It suits THEIR agendas to have people on the West Coast and in the North East believe the whole State looks like that picture on top. I have seen how this works my whole life. They don’t want people in those places to know they could leave the Blue Hell and live in a lovely, much more sane, place like this.
This area veils a fascinating secret. It is just below the surface, literally. Sitting below this region is a very pourous limestone known as honey comb rock. When rain water falls it quickly heads beneath the surface into underground streams that represent one of the most unique hydrology systems in the world. These are the headwaters of the San Marcos River, before they emerge from the high pressure, Aquarena Springs, on the campus of Texas State University, in San Marcos, about 15 miles from here………
This is the cleanest river in Texas because it is all spring water. It is a constant and refreshing 72 degrees all year long. This photo was taken in a city park just below the University where I graduated in 91’ with a Studio Art Degree. As this river cascades through campus there are large, dammed swimming areas, spillways and more beautiful parks. This makes TSU one of the most popular colleges in the State, especially if your area of study is freshwater ecology or hydrology.
The Texas Hill Country, because of its unique, limestone bedrock has many amazing hydrologic features as well as a huge network of caverns. When the two come together, as they often do, you can get something like this………
Spring fed waterfalls add to a surreal picture at Hamilton Pool, outside Dripping Springs, about 30 miles NW of San Marcos. The ceiling of this cavern stays wet enough for the native, drought tolerant, ferns clinging to the surface to thrive. This is a favorite swimming hole in an otherworldly landscape.
This biker is enjoying a scenic ride outside Wimberley in an area known as the Devil’s Backbone. Wish I was there right now. And now the new, glittering, crown jewel of Texas…………...
This is how Texans do a great city. The capital city of Austin sits just NE of what I just showed you, in the transition between the Hill Country and Coastal Prairie. Off to the west can be seen the edge of the Balcones Escarpment which rises to form the landscapes I have just shown you. This photo shows about 1/3 of the large buildings that have engulfed downtown since my days here back in the 80’s. The population now sits at 975,000, making Austin now the 10th largest city in the country! I can hardly believe that myself. Gone is the funky, “slacker town” of the 80’s that I remember so well.
Austin, sitting on the banks of the Colorado River, has become THE destination in Texas for those fleeing other, less desirable locals, in favor of, well, you’ve seen. To the west of Downtown lies more than 50,000 acres of parks, recreation and urban wilderness preserves. Austin has the largest park system of any city in America. It is a heaven for city dwellers that love the outdoors. Austin has all this without leaving the city.
If you come here plan to land a good paying job because the property values all over this part of Texas are sky high. This place has all the things people love about big blue cities without the crime, decay or filth of cities elsewhere. This is actually true of Texas cities in general. Austin holds the record for the most restaurants, night clubs and live music venues, per capita, of any US city.
Even mega wealthy, Hellyweird stars and people like Elon Musk and Michael Dell have arrived and turned the hills of west Austin into another 90210. This may be why the chemtrailing has very nearly stopped here. We just hardly see it anymore. There has to be a reason. And now on to the Texas Wine Country.
That’s right folks. We have a large and thriving wine industry here. How many of you knew that? Wouldn’t be surprised if it was 0. These are the grand tourist facilities at Grape Creek Vinyards outside the Hill Country tourist mecca of Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg area, on the NW side of the Hill Country, and straight west of Austin, is home to dozens of wine growers and makers because it has soils made up of sandy, decomposed granite and is in the heart of this thriving Hill Country tourism area. Fredericksburg, founded by German settlers in the 1840’s, is THE top tourism destination in all the Hill Country. Both fine and casual dining, miles of unique shopping, grand and funky architecture, spas, wineries, unique Inns and Hotels, and a Texas friendly atmosphere greet all comers. This small, quant, charming city of about 15,000 people plays host to over 1 million visitors a year. Pretty impressive.
The Hill Country sits at the crossroads of vegetational zones in the US. In this typical Spring scene it’s East meets West in a cacophony of color. We take this for granted but it’s one of the rarest ecosystems on the planet. In this biome we also have the subtropics clashing with the northern temperate zone. All the extremes come together here. It’s a wild ride but we love it! Now further afield………
This is Caddo Lake in far NE Texas. This is Texas’s only naturally occurring large lake.
Not too far from Caddo Lake lies one of the most beautiful man made lakes in the State. This is an arm of Lake O’ The Pines surrounded by square miles of hilly, National Forest land. This was a favorite summer destination when I was a wee one back in the 60’s. This lake is prized by water skiers because it is almost never choppy and normally, smooth as glass.
At the far opposite end of the State, in Big Bend National Park. lie the serene and mysterious, Chisos Mountains. Reaching elevations of nearly 8,000 ft’ this range is entirely contained within the park and towers over the Chihuahuan Desert below. This might be my favorite place in Texas.
Hundreds of miles to the north of the Chisos lies the red, canyon country of the Texas Panhandle. This is Palo Duro Canyon at sunset. This is where artist, Georgia O’Keefe, first fell in love with and painted western landscapes. The earliest of those paintings were executed here.
If strolling or camping on a truly secluded beach is your thing then Texas has what you’ve always dreamed of. The 100 mile long, South Padre Island, is the longest barrier island in the world and more than half of it is only accessible by 4 wheel drive vehicles. This is a natural beach at it’s best. Lying behind this island is the Laguna Madre. It’s the largest hyper-saline, lagoon ecosystem in the world as well. In the salt water marshes beyond are hundreds of square miles of marine bird sanctuaries. This is unspoiled nature at it’s very best.
So, I’m hoping I’ve destroyed all misconceptions about Texas while getting folks to rethink just believing what you’ve been shown by Hellyweird or any other media.
This is how far things have sunk in Canada, with this completely staged publicity photo shoot of Turdo on a subway car, surrounded by agents and paid actors.
Loving couple, Turdo and Macron………….
What if this was waiting at home? Brigitte Macron aka Jean-Michael Trogneux
Of course Turdo’s daddy was “all in the family”………..
Hot and cold running clots…………
Oh, my….. I know Texas can get hot, but what you’re seeing today is definitely not normal.
I’m a cold weather person, and would not do well, lol 😂. I’m not sure which is worse, baking or being poisoned.
It’s funny, but on the flip side it’s not. You mentioned they stopped the Chemtrails, wondering maybe they don’t work well together with the extreme heat. You very well may be on to something. I’m in Chemtrail Alley so it never stops. Well, I was doing The “Jordan” Amish program and getting back to nature.
So, while cleaning up my yard, I decided to just burn all the yard waste. I fill the burn barrel pretty full, strike a match and WHOOOSH 🔥! It was a flipping inferno! So, my point is, if yard waste goes up like that being sprayed, what could happen to people?
I don’t even want to think about exploding people…….yuck!
Yes, we absolutely are being terraformed, no doubt in my mind.
I just read on a Substack post, I forgot his name, but will post it later so you can read it. It was about the elite are NOT human, some are as old in 800 years old! They are of a reptilian class who do not eat food, but subsist on fresh infant blood no older than 24 days. Many members also eat the babies, but most need the blood.
You know Boris’s story is very similar to one of my rescue’s. The cats name is “Meatball” . She was found by my daughter who heard noises coming from garbage cans she passed on her walk home. She went to check on the noise, ended up covered is some serious pasta sauce with 4 baby kittens who too were covered in sauce. We nursed them back to health and adopted all but one girl, who proudly bears the name “Meatball”, lol 😆.
It breaks my heart to see how callous some people are when it comes to life. I’ll never understand how a human being can just toss a life away like old garbage. There is something seriously wrong with people who do this.
Well, I’m glad Boris found you, he’s one lucky cat!
